There are many ways to volunteer, allowing you to select the one that best fits your interests and talents. Opportunities include:

 

• Socialization: All dogs need human interaction to prepare them for adoption. You can help by spending just a couple hours a week holding, petting, and playing with these pups.

 

• Care and Feeding: Provide daily food and care to our 200 adoptable dogs on site. We need a minimum of three volunteers each night, 365 days a year.

 

• Foster: Foster homes are critical. Fostering puppies ensures their ability to survive until they make the transition from formula to solid food. Foster homes are also needed for dogs recovering from surgery or injury. We always need fosters!  If you'd like to learn about our foster program, click here!

• Thrift Store:  Our Peoria location's thrift store is bursting with amazing deals.  We need help sorting and pricing items, and placing them on display for thrift shoppers.

• ​

• Cleaning & Laundry:  It never ends, and we can use all the help we can get!  

 

• Additional opportunities: Website maintenance, office help, and more.
